Zugaşi Berepe
The band was founded first with the name “ŞK’U” (meaning “we”) by Kazım Koyuncu and M.B. Beşli in 1993 to make music in Laz language on political themes. Their first album "Va Mişk'unan" (We Don’t Know) was released in 1995. They won recognition in a short time with their distinctive music blending rock melodies with Laz music coming to the fore with the sound of the bagpipe. The lyrics of the group included anarchistic messages. In 1998 the band released their second album "İgzas" (It’s Walking) with the attendance of new members: Cafer İşleyen (bass-guitar, percussion and flute), Gürsoy Tanç (electric-guitar), Zülkifil Murat Dilek (drums), Uğurcan Sezen (keyboard) and Mahmut Turan (bagpipe). The band broke apart after the album, still had a great influence on the opponent music of the Black Sea.
