D-100
D-100 The band is founded by three university friends. The band takes its interesting name from E-5 Highway (the other name of which is D-100). Both the houses of the group members and the Marmara University they met from are located on this highway. The members carry on their professional life in fields apart from music. Their first album “Kırmızı Evin Hüznü” (The Sorrow of the Red House) and second album “Blues Şehri” (The City of Blues) were released respectively in 1995 and 1999. In spite of the name of their second album, the emphasize that they don’t make blues at all, for they reject classifying music under hard-boiled generic categories. They are interested rather in the “bluer and sombrer” aspect of Blues.  ...
