She met with music at the age of eight playing the mandolin with two of her childhood friends. After completing her high school education in İzmir American College for Girls in 1984, she received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Psychology in Boğaziçi University in 1988 and master’s degree from the Ethno-Musicology Department in Mimar Sinan University in 1996. In 1990 she took part in “Yeryüzünün Yedi Rengi” (The Seven Colours of the Earth) concert series organized by Muammer Ketencioğlu. She produced the children’s songs album “Kar’a” in 1999 and published a children’s book called “Müzikle Buluşma” (Meeting with Music) in 2000. Her last album “Başka Dünya Yok” (No Other Worlds) was released with the consultancy of “Kindermusik” Music Training for Children Organization in 2006 under the label of Ada Music. She’s actively carrying on her contributions to children’s music on different levels.
