Derya Baykal
Derya Baykal During her school years in Ankara she made a radio programme for children and radio plays. After completing Ankara State Conservatory in 1975 she entered Ankara State Theatre as a stage actress. The other year she married Levent Baykal. With her role in the play “Rita” she was selected “the actress of the year” by the Art Institution. After the beloved actress Adile Naşit she took over the unforgettable TV programme “Masalcı Abla” (Sister Storyteller). She also worked as a dubbing artist and frontwomen in TV, played in numerous TV series and many prizes during her career. After her second marriage she departed from the State Theatre to play in independent theatre companies such as Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu and Ortaoyuncular. She has two daughters from his third marriage. In 1995 she acted a part in the film “Ester and Sarah” shot for the French Television. After her divorce from Ferhan Şensoy she also broke apart with Ortaoyunc.....
